Navigating Airbnb in Spanish
First, let’s switch Airbnb to Spanish. When you visit Airbnb, it will default to English. To change it to Spanish, click the little globe icon and select your desired Spanish version. Airbnb offers various Spanish options, such as Español (Colombia), Español (Costa Rica), and Español (Latin America). For this lesson, we’ll use Español (Colombia), known for its clear Spanish, particularly in cities like Medellín.
Before switching languages, let’s review the top of the Airbnb page in English:
- Stays
- Experiences
- Online Experiences
- Search Box: Where, Check-in, Check-out, Guests
Now, let’s switch to Español (Colombia) and review the same sections:
- Alojamientos (Stays)
- Experiencias (Experiences)
- Experiencias en línea (Online Experiences)
- Buscar Destinos (Search Destinations), Llegada (Check-in), Salida (Check-out), Agregar Huéspedes (Add Guests)
You can see the similarities between English and Spanish terms, making it easier to understand. For example, Experiencias is similar to “Experiences,” and Destinos is similar to “Destinations.”
